Happy New Year Everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating last night, be it if you were alone or surrounded by family and friends.
This was the first time that I had spent New Year’s Eve away from my family and it wasn’t too bad – it was kind of weird really because I ended up watching the fireworks, with my parents on facetime. So they ended up watching the fireworks with me.
Anyway, the point is, that no matter how you celebrated it, be it if you went out for a meal, a drink (or a fair few), or if you stayed at home, I hope you all had a wonderful time.
To all those people who had to work at midnight, or even just had work get in the way of celebrating, I thank you for sticking to your job, even if it sucked.
I know that my job got in the way of doing what I really wanted but I managed to find a solution so that I didn’t end up being alone (in a way).
And it just made me realise how special spending time with family (and/or friends) is. I’m a major family person, which is why Christmas is a very special time for me (because this is the one time of the year when my family comes together). So when Christmas was over, and I found out I would be spending New Year’s Eve away from my family, it made me realise that I was growing up and that sometimes life doesn’t go the way you want it to, but it made every moment I had with my family that more special.
I wish everyone the happiest of times in 2017, and let us hope that it can be the best year yet in our lives!
Have a great one guys.
