Review: People, I am so sorry, I read this book as soon as it came out and clearly I forgot to review it. How you may ask? To be honest, I have no idea. But who cares.
Anyway, I loved this book – I love the trilogy. It is by far, I think, the author’s best series (although I do like her other stuff).
I did find that when I started to read this book I was very confused at what was going on – my solution, just re-read the two books beforehand. You might have a better memory than me, but this seemed like the only way that I would really get back into it.
Saying that re-reading the other two books was not a quick process, but it’s not like I’m complaining. It did become a very enjoyable lazy couple of days.
Anyway, so this book is just mindblowing. It is so good. It is honestly the best conclusion that I could have hoped for.
I’m not saying this book is perfect. I know there are flaws, and I know that there are a ton of people out there who are adamant in revealing these flaws. This is all because of what this book stands for. It is something much more than an enjoyable read to most people. It actually highlights and deals with tough situations. Whether or not the end reaction was intentional is another matter, but this book really speaks volumes to some people.
What’s more I can so easily remember everything that happened in this book – it’s that good.
The plot line is captivating (as is every book in this series).
The characters are always well described and their back stories are very well thought out. The author has managed to create a certain depth to this book, which leads the reader to revel in the fact that there is much more going on off the pages.
There is a history in this book and I loved the slow reveal that it had (even if at times it was aggravating, however, it did keep me wanting to read more).
For an end book, I still want there to be more. It was a brilliant way to end, and it ended exactly the way that I imagined it.
All I can say is that I want more.
