Instant. Intense. Weirdly familiar . . .

The moment Luce looks at Daniel she knows she has never felt like this before. Except she can’t shake the feeling that she has . . . and with him – a boy she doesn’t remember ever setting eyes on.

Will her attempt to find out why enlighten her – or destroy her?

Review: This book is good, not great.

The first couple of chapters are kind of slow and I remember when I first started this book it took me a while to get in to it.

However, it did start to get better as the story progressed. I think the main problem that this book has, is that it throws you straight in at the beginning, and you’re kind of left confused. Luckily, its fairly easy to get past this.

It is a book more suited for teenagers – I remember reading it when it first came out and I loved it, but now as an adult I can definitely see the problems/annoyance that each character has. Mainly because they are teenagers and I’m just like did I act the same way (admittedly, there was never anything not normal happening in my time at school).

But YA novels will always be my guilty pleasure.

What I really do appreciate and I’m sure there are others who will be the same, is the fact that this is not just one book, but a series. Once you get stuck into this first one, you’ll want to read the rest of them.

The storyline is good, I mean what’s not to love about good and bad angels (who are all weirdly obsessing over the main girl). Its a feel good romance. One that you can really sink your teeth in (after the first couple of chapters).

It’s definitely the sort of book that you will read through quickly, but enjoyable. It’s very easy and is written quite well.

If you enjoyed Twilight, then this book is probably good for you. These types of books, while arguably are not the greatest works of literature, have clearly shown what young female adults are looking for today – romantic fantasy with a supernatural edge.

If you are still confused to who this book will appeal to the most? Then as a general rule of thumb in this instance is to look at the lead character, their gender and age, and use that as an answer. So, the ideal person for whom this would be a perfect Christmas present would be female and seventeen years old. (Also, Christmas is only 74 days away — so like, its very close).

If YA novels are your guilty pleasure then this is one book that you should definitely purchase.
