Inspiration.58

Well what a fantastic week I’ve had.

I had a great weekend with friends, we went to a socially distanced outdoor cinema and watched The Greatest Showman (an incredible film). We had a blast together, ate some food and it was just nice to have a bit of “normal” time.

I haven’t hung out with these people in over 5 months to be honest and I got to say I’ve missed them. We might only be a small group but friends are incredibly important. And I guess it’s more about quality than quantity. They are always there for you, they always have your back and you always know that they can be help you when you need them.

You don’t even need to see your friends every day, my best and I would go months without seeing each other, even before all of this, and then we’d meet up and it would just be like she left the day before. It’s not that we don’t want to meet up, but there is a lot of distance between us but also it never bothers us. We text, we call, we still keep in each other’s lives.

And when something important happens, you can bet that we’ll be there for each other. Doesn’t matter how small the thing is, if a friend needs you, needs your help then the thing to do is be there for them. It’s not difficult to be there for a friend if they are struggling, it’s just the right thing to do.

Friends come and go, new relationships form and life goes on. That’s just what life is all about. But true friends, best friends will stay with you and be by your side when you need them.

  1. Great points. My bestie moved north, so we don’t get together nearly as often as we would normally. With it taking approximately 5 hours to drive up, I can’t make the trip all the time. That being said, every time we do get together, it’s like we were never apart. That’s a sign of a solid friendship to me!
