Review: I have been looking forward to watching this film for so long now. Like, you know how it’s been advertised everywhere, it’s trailer is always on – it really made me want to watch it more.

I do think, however, that this approach (although it worked in getting me to watch the film), was actually not that much of a good thing because I had high expectations for this film. So when I first went in to watch in the cinema, I was in the frame of mind of thinking that this film would be awesome.

This film was good, let me put it that way.

When you watch this film, though, you have to admit that there are problems with it. Firstly, it’s about a man who becomes so obsessed with a woman that he wakes her up just so that he won’t suffer anymore. Now I’m not really complaining at this because if this film was real then I could not imagine what Jim would have been going through – although admittedly, I hate people, so maybe spending some time by myself, it would be quite good, I say that, but honestly I problem would go crazy. So I’m not really criticizing Jim for his actions, even though they were kind of shitty.

Further, I feel like the director knew that some people would have a problem with his actions because he tried to make it right by having Aurora fall in love with Jim – so you know it was clearly meant to be.

Honestly, though I do think this film could have been better (I say this, and yet I still gave it 4 stars because I did enjoy watching it). I felt that from all of it’s advertising it was becoming something that it wasn’t, so I was a bit surprised when I first watched it.

I also think, that without Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, then this film would probably have flopped. These two are great together, there is definite chemistry between them and they work on each other’s strengths really well.

Without wanting to spoil the ending further than what I already have in this review, I think it worked, but at the same time, I would have preferred it to be different. You’ll understand what I mean by this after you’ve watched the film.

I mean there is so much drama that occurs in this – but it all occurs right at the very end? This is what I would like them to change because the first half of the film is all happy and then boom, drama.

Please remember that after all my complaining, I did enjoy this film (I gave it 4 stars remember), but I think this film needed to change a few aspects to make it perfect (at least in my opinion, but that might not mean anything since I’m not a film director, or official critic or anything).

If this is still in cinemas near you, I do suggest you go out and watch it as you will have an entertaining time.
