About: When aspiring writer Guinevere Beck strides into the bookstore where Joe works he is instantly smitten. Beck is everything Joe has ever wanted: tough, razor-smart and sexier than his wildest dreams. He’d kill to have her.

Soon Beck can’t resist her feelings for a guy who seems custom made for her. When a string of macabre incidents tears her world apart there is only one person she can turn to. But there’s more to Joe than Beck realises and much more to Beck than her perfect facade. The obsessive relationship quickly spirals into a whirlwind of deadly consequences…

A chilling account of unrelenting, terrifying deceit, Caroline Kepnes’ You is a thriller more perversely clever and dangerously twisted than any YOU have ever read.

Review: So I know I’m a little late to be reviewing this, but I did read this the moment I saw the trailer on Netflix for the TV show.

I can tell you this now, I could not put it down.

Thank God I started reading this on the weekend because otherwise, I would have been very tired when I went to work.

I seem to be reading more and more books like this, which is a big thing for me. It’s something which I wouldn’t normally pick up if I went to a bookstore.

But I’m actually really loving books like this.

Well, good books anyway.

There’s something thrilling about turning each page and wondering what on earth is going to happen next.

Thinking is she going to live, what’s going to happen yet. It’s an absolute thrill to read.

The only thing I’m not really a fan of, is the fact that it is quite a raunchy book (I can say raunchy right?).

It was very raunchy – I guess I don’t read a lot of books about sex – I mean I do like romance books, but I’m happy for them to stay as a PG read if you know what I mean.

I felt myself blushing a million times with this book, and I know that some people like this sort of thing, but for me, it’s just a little bit unnecessary.

That being said, I was still hooked whilst reading this book.

A very intense love and a dangerous obsessive narrator is the main attraction of this story.

It is a very compelling, readable thriller with great characters and many twists. You might well catch yourself siding with the stalker! Which I never expected happening.

There aren’t many books which are written from the stalker’s perspective, so that was certainly an interesting thing to experience.

All in all, though, I do think that this was a very enjoyable read and would recommend it to anyone interested in a new thriller.

The next thing that I have to do is find time to watch the show on Netflix, I’m sure I’ll find some time soon though!
