Inspiration.60

What’s going on in the world is really frustrating. Many people are staying home when they can, not being able to go and see their friends, family, loved ones. It’s tough, it’s tough for everyone.

People are mad at the government, mad at people breaking the rules, others believe it’s a hoax and simply do not care. But the frightening thing is they really should. People compare this to the flu and how others are still dying from it. People compare it to the number of deaths caused by cancer and yes those things are happening, and yes we shouldn’t forget. But all we need to do now is just be a little bit smarter about the way we do things.

Wash hands, social distance, wear a mask, stay at home when we can, reduce the numbers of time we go out and see people, use hand sanitiser when we can.

Last week I went on a massive rant on my Instagram because I saw so many people not social distancing in large groups of people and it made me so mad. For the first five months of this pandemic I couldn’t see my boyfriend, my family or my friends. The people I live with are classed as high risk, so why would I want to endanger them.

This pandemic isn’t over, and yes I’m probably being overly cautious, but I don’t want my actions to have a negative consequence to the people I love. You can do whatever you like, just make sure your actions don’t affect others, that’s what I believe.

If you don’t agree that’s fine. If you think my approach is too cautious that’s fine. But at least I know that I’m doing everything I can to help.

We are going to have to live with this, and get use to it. It’s a life style change, but it’s not the end of the world.

For people who are struggling because they can’t see a loved one, or are just mad at the way this whole thing is going, are struggling with their mental health or just need someone to talk to, then please remember I’m here for you. I don’t mind listening to people ranting, crying. When things get tough we need to be there for each other, and support one enough. It makes things that much easier.

If you are finding things hard at the moment, then I hope the quote below can help you.

“Everything is hard before it is easy” – Goethe

  1. I completely agree with this quote, yes 2020 hasn’t been the best of years, and I feel the pain for people who have lost loved ones too early. Not seeing my girlfriend for 5 months was the hardest part of my life, it does upset you because you can’t be with the people who you love. Like I’ve said to my girlfriend we’ve got through that horrible patch yes it’s not over but we can do it again and I’m going to carry on thinking positive and thinking next year will be better. I maybe not be able to see her for the next couple of months but doesn’t mean I don’t love her less, it means I love her more. 2021 is going to be a good year 😊 xx
