If you can’t stand the thought of leaving your four-legged friend at home while you swan off on a fabulous holiday, then you will be delighted to know that the UK is a great place to holiday with your dog.

Newquay, Cornwall

If it’s a beach holiday you are looking for, then you and your dog will absolutely love Newquay in Cornwall. Many of the stunning beaches in this county are completely dog-friendly, as are the cafes and bars that line the streets. Nearby, you also have attractions like the Eden Project, which will keep you busy, Restormel Castle and there are so many beachfront cottages, town apartments and historic hotels that allow pets you should have no trouble finding the most appropriate accommodation for you and your pet.

The Lake District

The Lake District is probably the most dog-friendly part of the UK. You never have to go far to find a cafe that welcomes pooches or a shop that has provided water outside for passing pups to sip from and there are so many walks, hikes and swims that the dog will enjoy just as much as you, that it is a no-brainer. Quiet Site is probably the best-known campsite for dogs, but there are numerous hotels and apartments that allow pets too so it should not be too hard to find the right place to stay.
