About: Two FBI agent brothers, Marcus (Marlon Wayans) and Kevin Copeland (Shawn Wayans), accidentally foil a drug bust. As punishment, they are forced to escort a pair of socialites (Maitland Ward, Anne Dudek) to the Hamptons, where they’re going to be used as bait for a kidnapper. But when the girls realize the FBI’s plan, they refuse to go. Left without options, Marcus and Kevin decide to pose as the sisters, transforming themselves from African-American men into a pair of blonde, white women.
Review: This film is absolutely hilarious. It’s the ideal film for when you have friends or family round and you want to watch a film but have no idea what to put on.
I love it, my friends love it – we’re watched it so many times now on like a girly night in that it really has made some good memories for us. I mean it is a 15 so, you know, don’t let young kids watch it, but I think I first saw it when I was 11/12 and it didn’t do me any harm.
It is atrociously silly, so it’s not a film that should be taken seriously. It’s just a bit of fun and if you’re in need of a good laugh then this is definitely the film for you.
I don’t understand how this film has received so many negative views because it has always been a favourite amongst my friends and myself.
You have two FBI agents who at the very start of the film accidently go after the wrong people (these people being the stereotypical Russian bad guys – but are actually the good guys) and then after this they lose everything.
The one brother is having relationship problem – his wife accuses him of cheating because he was two minutes late on a walk that should have lasted seven minutes or something. And then he falls asleep as she’s trying to talk to him. It’s all very much over the top, but like I said it a film that’s not meant to be taken seriously, but rather enjoyed.
A film where the rest of the world no longer exists and you can watch the film where the whole story revolves around a silly mistake.
The other brother is one that thinks that he can get all the ladies, and boy does he try. The fact that he pretended to be someone else, took the woman to this other person’s house and then had to deal with a very scary guard dog – I was literally crying from laughter at this scene.
Of course, the ending is obvious because everything works out perfectly, but what’s not to love about a happy ending – even if the whole story idea is rather silly.
