Sometimes I’m just grateful for the Christmas period – it just makes everything so much better. You know when like you’re having a bad day and then nothing seems to go right. . . that pretty much just sums up my day today.
But what I can be thankful for is that when I come home from work I know everything will be better because we all have bad days right?
Anyway, to anyone who is having a bad day, I know for sure that this film will definitely cheer you up!
This is definitely a favourite Christmas film, not just for myself but for many other people – you know who you are.

Review: “Seeing is believing” – that’s a quotation taken from this film, and it couldn’t be more true. I mean ironicly, you have to watch the film to understand how amazing it is.
There are so many great moments in this film, particularly for those people who just need a reminder of what Christmas spirit truly is.
Tom Hanks does a brilliant job of portraying each of his five character (when I was a kid I would never have thought that an actor could play more than one person). Hanks really is able to deliver a magical Christmas film though. One which can really make anyone believe.
The only thing that bugged me about this film (and it’s a silly thing really), is that when the conductor takes his hat off, he’s bald on the top of his head. I don’t know why but it always seems to shock me – like I don’t know, but I just always assume he has a full head of hair — it’s silly really because it doesn’t affect the film at all, I just thought I would let you guys know.
Anyway, this film has me in tears by the end, not because it’s sad but because of how utterly sweet it is (beware of spoilers ahead if you haven’t already seen the film). It’s sweet because finally at the end the boy says those two words “I believe” (I also repeated these words with him, because of course I believe). It is at this moment that he can hear those bells! And it’s a magical moment.
What’s even better is that he gets the first gift of Christmas, and doesn’t ask for anything huge or expensive, but rather he asks for the bell. An item which symbolises the magic of Christmas – man I was crying so bad at this scene, I mean why couldn’t I get chosen to go on the Polar Express when I was a child.
This is the perfect Christmassy film, one that makes you think back to your childhood and how excited you were the night before Christmas. It just made me feel happy and brought a bit of magic along with it.
The last thing I have to say about this film, is that after you’ve watched it, do you believe?
