So guys, today is the 10th June and not that many of you will know this, but it’s actually my birthday! Yayyy!
Not going to lie, this is probably the weirdest birthday I’ve ever had. I haven’t seen my friends in nearly 3 months, I haven’t been able to go to my favourite food place. I haven’t been able to go on a day trip with my family like I normally do for my birthday.
But…..
I am finally going to go see my boyfriend! After 3 months of FaceTiming, texting, sending letters, virtual film dates. We’re going to do a social distanced birthday meet up.
How exciting!
I know that there are some couples that have moved in together before lockdown, some that just meet up because they want to. But me and Luke decided that it was the right thing to do. We live over an hour away from each other, and it just seemed like the safe thing to do.
It’s been a struggle, and a social distanced birthday meet up is not quite what I had in mind for my birthday. But if I’m being honest, it’s the best thing ever with all that’s going on.
Sorry for the soppiness, but I love my boyfriend and miss him like crazy.
So I thought I would do a quote for all those couples who have been separated from their partners. Not just because of COVID-19, but for those in long distance relationships, those who partners are away fighting for their country, for anyone who is just missing their significant other for whatever reason.
Things will get better, and even though it might be tough, I can promise you that the wait is worth it!
